the Man

Hi.  I’m Dave.  I’m an early 20s guy working at a church.  I struggle with faith, but that’s ok.  Who doesn’t?  Somehow I managed to become engaged to a girl (see left) who is way more awesome than I am (which is a feat in and of itself). I have an odd mixed sense of humor that often times doesn’t portray itself well in text.  Oh well, I think it’s funny and can laugh to myself.  I enjoy a great deal of sports, spiritual discussions, and learning.  I have just recently found my affinity for learning – funny that it happened right after I graduated from college.  I have terrible grammer and insert puncuation whenever I feel it is necessary.  Most of the time it is probably incorrect.  I do enjoy cooking.  I love food.  I love making good food.  The grill is my friend.  If you’re ever in the mood to cook-out just let me know and I’ll be there ready to fire it up.  At some point I know I want to attain a Master’s degree and continue on with this new found love of learning.  Who knows when that will be.  As for right now most of my spare attention is fixated on my upcoming wedding in November.

I’d love to hear your thoughts and comments on anything in this blog.  Most of the material comes about at random.  This isn’t a themed blog.  Well, it could be if random stuff was a theme.

  2. HI David
Thanks for the kind words and ressonance to that video in TWOTP. I would like to continue this kind of conversation one of these days. Actually that video was followed by another one called “what is poverty”.. have you seen it? I would love to know your opinion.
On the issue of rich/poor relationships, I have worked to ask myself ont only what os poverty, but who need to be set free? Who have become slave and have a limited life? The so called poor? Or the rich that instead of be a Homo sapiens, the wise man, or the man who knows, became a homo educatios, someone that need to be educated to adapt to life and, a Homo economicus, that believe that needs ae there to be satisfied and the scarcity of resources will be overcome thru and mediate by money; and a Homo systematicus, a being so dependent on system (water, trasportation, garbage, medicine, political… and all other systems) that like a batery in teh Matrix can`t survive disconnected, and at the end a Homo Miserabilis, someone that is simply dependent, both of govern and of market, not knowing more consum resources and always feeling miserable because have lost his/her autonomy… any way, to read your comments was a special gift this morning. Bless you….
